KamaDeva Yoga
KamaDeva Yoga is a small, blessed oasis of calm, strength, integrity and talent. Located in the center of East Hampton Village on Newtown Lane, KamaDeva Yoga gives East End yogis and yoginis a local, accessible and sacred place to practice with some of the world's greatest teachers. Also serving the communities of Bridgehampton, Amagansett, Southampton, Sag Harbor, Wainscott and beyond, we keep our yoga classes deliberately small, in order to insure that each student receives all the personal attention and care they need to cultivate their practice and fulfill their intentions.
Tripur Bhairavi Yantra and the name 'KamaDeva'
KamaDeva means the God of Love, or can also mean, ' the God who yields all auspicious wishes.' Tripur Bhairavi Is the Yantra Logo for KamaDeva Yoga. Many thanks to Sarah Tomlinson for this Yantra Inspiration. Tripur Bhairavi is the Warrior Goddess! She represents transforming heat, or radiance. Her activity is necessary to guide and protect us. Often depicted as both terrifying and beautiful – in her terrifying aspect Bhairavi’s Divine anger and wrath are directed towards the impurities within us, as well as to the negative forces that may try to interfere with our spiritual growth. She is the wrath of a woman, specifically the wrath of a mother toward whatever may threaten her children.
