Hands to Heart: A Yoga Alignment Workshop
with Jessica Bellofatto
This workshop is not currently scheduled
Join Jessica Bellofatto, a longtime practitioner and teacher of Yoga, in this workshop focusing on the hands communicating with the heart. We will explore the use of the hands in many poses, but most specifically in weight-bearing asanas, such as downward facing dog, plank, inversions and arm balances. You will be taught how to correctly relate the hands, arms, and shoulders and how to connect to and refine the communication between the hands and the back window of the heart – the shoulderblade/upper back region. In true KamaDeva Yoga style, this workshop will include a bit of chanting, meditation, intelligently and creatively choreographed vinyasa sequencing, and rockin’ music.
All levels of student are welcome. Be willing and prepared to align and re-align your body through your own moment to moment observation, guided by your breath (the inner teacher), to move, to sweat, and to let go.
