Join Jessica in this special Inversions workshop. We will explore the barriers (both physical and mental) to the most common inversions, work on overcoming fear, challenge our hands (and forearms) to become our feet, and learn what parts of the body we need to recruit, either through lengthening or strengthening, to make the transition from being upright to being upside down effortless! Shift your perspective, clear your mind, open your heart, and redefine what's possible for you, over and over again, one breath at a time. Please note that this class takes the place of candelight vinyasa for this night only. Cost: $50 ($25 for members)
Experience a weekend module from our 200-Hour Teacher Training Program
Suitable for all students, not just teachers and trainees.
This special weekend training (module 8 of our current Teacher Training program) is open to all students, teacher trainers, bodyworkers, and aspiring teachers. During the weekend we will explore the use of hands-on adjustments during both group and private yoga sessions. The types of touch (who, when and why to touch students in a certain asana), using your eyes to see before adjusting, upper body and lower body adjustments for over 30 poses, and more. Taught by Lois Nesbitt and Jessica Bellofatto. With over 40 combined years of experience teaching and adjusting students, you will learn how to safely and effectively adjust your students to enhance their experience in a pose, and guide them towards optimal alignment.
Schedule: Saturday 7:15am-5pm, Sunday 7:30am-5pm, with break for long lunch at 11:15am.
Saturday will conclude with a free Q & A session at 5:00pm, open to anyone who would like to know more about this course, and is considering applying for the 2017-2018 program.
Wondering whether the 200-Hour KamaDeva Teacher-Training Program starting again this fall (9 Weekends, October through May) is right for you? Join Jessica and Lois for an informative session to get all of the questions below answered, and more of your own! Also hear from current teacher trainees about the program and how they intend to use what they have learned not just to become yoga teachers but in other professions as well. Come along to find out:
