Deepening Your Practice

The path of yoga is infinitely long and can be embraced as a life journey. Teaching yoga can help you create a life where your beliefs, thoughts and actions flow from your core values to build a life of integrity and authenticity.

The KamaDeva "Deepening your Practice" Intensive is not a "yoga alliance 200 hr recognized program." Instead, we invite you to contact us if you are interested in becoming a yoga teacher or deepening your study in an apprenticeship-like way. In essence, similar to a college thesis, you will create your own program, based on your interests and what you would like your focus to be. A much more individualized program than a standard teacher training, Jessica and other KamaDeva teachers will guide and encourage you to find your own way in this vast and often overwhelming subject. This program is one step along the path to becoming a yoga teacher, providing a solid foundation with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to begin teaching safely and mindfully. This program is for anyone who has had a regular yoga practice for a minimum of one year and has an understanding of the basics of asana practice. This does not mean that an applicant needs to be able to perform advanced asana, but has a willingness to learn plus awareness and respect for their body and limitations.
